Why Parasite Cleanse?
80% of people (adult & child) are walking around with parasites…
And most have no idea.
These parasites feed off you, take your nutrients away, and disrupt the balance of good and bad bacteria in your body.
This is an uncomfortable subject to talk about. Whenever I talk about my battle with parasites, I see how squeamish people feel. And I totally understand. But the reality is, unfortunately parasitic infections are rarely discussed in the United States.

As such, infections are often undetected and untreated leaving parasites to grow and live inside us. In 2014, the CDC targeted 5 parasitic infections as priorities for public health action due to the numbers of people infected. But still today this is looked at as a third-world issue.
Parasites create a big burden and stress on the body. THIS could be a big reason and root cause to the symptoms you’ve been fighting for so many years. I spent so much time working on fixing my gut and candida/bacteria and mold overgrowth as well as working on trying to balance my hormones, mineral depletion and heavy metal toxicity. I was in denial that I had parasites and kept pushing that thought out of my head.
Whether you’re trying to reduce your menopause symptoms, lose weight, support your overall health, or find the cause of other symptoms, removing the unwanted bugs in your body is a good idea to help reduce your overall toxic load.
Top priority: I always recommend doing a functional medicine detox before you do a parasite cleanse to open up your liver drainage pathways and support your body with the nutrients it needs to clear out the bad bugs as safely and comfortably as possible.
WHY should I consider a parasite cleanse?
Eradicating parasites becomes the first step before addressing other protocols. That is because parasites harbor toxins and other infections like heavy metals, Lyme, mold, yeast, you name it.
It's important to understand how different our bodies are and how different parasites impact each of us. For those who are currently asymptomatic, it is likely because you have a strong, diverse microbiome. You likely also have a healthier diet, exercise more, and generally live a healthier lifestyle. But this is not always the case for others.
The benefits you experience after your cleanse will vary based on a number of factors.
The best thing you can do to maximize the benefits is to use this cleanse to jumpstart your healthy lifestyle. I strongly encourage you to not go back to the way you were doing things before. Take advantage of the clean slate and rebuild your microbiome.
What are some of the benefits of doing a Parasite Cleanse?
- Stronger immune function. 80% of your immune system lives in your gut. Fix your gut, and your immune system will strengthen.
- Less inflammation. Inflammation is at the root of most diseases. The toxic waste produced by parasites causes chronic inflammation. Inflammation causes pain. Let's put out the fire!
- Improved gut function. This means better digestion, less digestive distress, clearer skin, healthier hormones, a happier brain, and more.
- Improved sleep. Parasites are most active at night. Quality sleep is essential to pretty much every single facet of health.
- Potential weight loss. In many ways, your metabolism is controlled by your gut bugs and hormones. Fix your gut, create a balance with more good bugs than bad, and long time weight issues will naturally reverse. I’ve seen people lose significant weight while on this protocol, not just from the bugs they are dropping, but from inflammatory water weight.
- Increased energy levels. I had so much energy once I got rid of parasites and the toxins they were holding onto. Parasites can steal nutrients, depriving the body of essential vitamins and minerals and cause fatigue.
-
- Improved mental clarity and mood. Parasites can cause increased irritability, anxiety, depression, and brain fog. While it’s fairly common to experience a flare of mood-related symptoms while actively cleansing, you will feel much better once they’re gone!
- Disappearing rashes or blemishes. The skin is the largest detox organ. Parasites, their eggs, and their toxins can exit your body through the skin and cause rashes, itching, and blemishes. However, you may notice that your skin clears after the parasite cleanse.
So how do I get rid of them?
This will depend on where you are in your health journey. Before we get into the specifics of the protocols and how to choose the right protocol for you, it is important to understand a few key points.
- Parasite cleansing involves killing parasites and getting them out of your body through the bowels. When they die, they release toxins. It is important to take very special toxin-binding supplements to get the toxins out before they can do damage, thus protecting you and your liver. Without this support, you can experience die-off symptoms.
- If you have a chronic illness of any sort, we suggest you work with a practitioner to help you navigate the protocols and adjust dosing as needed.
- How long will this cleanse take you? This depends on the degree of infestation. It may take longer for some people to fully rid themselves than others. My husband needed much more time than I did. The minimum time frame is 6-8 weeks. For some, this is several months.
- These suckers are difficult to see so I recommend that at the end of your cleanse (when you no longer see any parasites in your stool), to do one more month of your cleanse to ensure you catch the next life cycle of the parasite. Parasites will continue to lay eggs up until they die. That last month’s cleanse will stop those eggs from growing up!
- Once you have completed your cleansing, maintenance is all you will need. I recommend making parasite cleansing a part of your detox regiment. I recommend doing a parasite cleanse between 1-3 times yearly.
- Parasites don’t just live in the gut. They can live anywhere else in your body. So once you have completed the 2 rounds of gut cleansing, depending on your health status, it’s recommended to move onto the next phase, which is helping clear them out of the rest of your body.
