Are you experiencing digestive issues, skin problems, anxiety, or fatigue? Your body could be burdened with parasites. Parasites live in or on another organism and rely on it for survival. They can also hold onto bacteria, viruses, mold, and heavy metals and prevent you from excreting those toxins. Parasitic infections can cause numerous health problems and could hold you back from healing.
Today we will talk about preparing your body for a parasite cleanse. Parasites can live in a “host” for years and even decades. It’s important to prepare your body for what’s about to happen - eliminating them! Keep reading if you haven’t heard of parasites or how to eliminate them. This will change your life!
What is parasite cleansing?
Parasite cleansing is a way to eliminate pathogens that can cause various health problems. It involves making dietary changes, keeping drainage pathways open, taking natural and potent supplements that create an inhospitable environment for parasites to live and to eliminate parasites from your body through the bowels.
Before I begin anything new to improve my health, I focus on my “WHY”. Working on my health usually requires making changes, and I need some discipline to stick with them if things get tough. Change isn’t always easy. But I keep my mindset strong by remembering why I started this in the first place.
Today, we’re going to look at a few things:
Preparing your body for a parasite cleanse
If you're interested in parasite cleansing, you can do a few things before jumping in that will set you up for success and help you move through this protocol in the most comfortable way possible. The tips below will help you purge critters while avoiding many uncomfortable symptoms that can arise during a parasite cleanse.
Before starting a parasite protocol, my number #1 tip is to ensure you do a functional medicine detox first! It is important to ensure you open up your drainage pathways. Parasite protocols are very dangerous if done incorrectly! Click here for more info on how to get started.
The most important thing before getting started is to make sure you are pooping regularly! The information below is about increasing the frequency and quality of your bowel movements so you can efficiently move parasites and their byproducts OUT of your body.
We have many “detox pathways,” or ways of getting waste out of our bodies. The colon drainage pathway is always the most important because it is at the bottom of the “drainage funnel.” Our drainage funnel refers to the order in which we should open detox pathways and looks like this:
When parasite cleansing, having regular bowel movements is essential. This is the main way we eliminate parasites. If you are constipated, they will release toxins as they die that will recirculate in your body instead of being eliminated in your stool. You will not feel well if this happens, trust me! I struggled for most of my life with constipation. Removing these parasites and their toxins through regular DAILY bowel movements is so important.
You should have 1-3 healthy bowel movements every day. If this doesn’t sound like you, keep reading to learn how to remedy this!
Here are five simple things you can do to keep your bowels moving:
Stay hydrated- Dehydration is the most common cause of occasional constipation.
Relax- When you are stressed, your bowels will not move. Focus on relaxation techniques throughout the day, like meditation and breathing exercises, to keep your body in parasympathetic (rest and relaxation) mode.
Eat well and mindfully- Eat organic produce, grass-fed meats, and wild-caught fish to avoid unnecessary toxin exposure. Avoid processed foods high in refined sugar, grains, and gluten since sugars are the preferred food for parasites. Don’t eat when feeling stressed. Sit at a table with both feet on the ground and chew your food thoroughly before swallowing it. Do not rush through meals, and enjoy your food.
Exercising- Moving your body helps stimulate muscle contractions in the intestines. Physical activity can also increase blood flow to the intestines, aiding digestion and facilitating bowel motility.
Increase your fiber intake- Eat 25 to 30 grams of fiber daily. Vegetables, beans, avocado and berries are a few high-fiber food choices for your meals.
If you try these tricks and still struggle to stay regular, consider adding supplements to help you as you work on getting more consistent BMs.
Supplements that can promote bowel movements:
Magnesium- Magnesium helps muscles to relax; magnesium bis-glycinate chelate is a highly absorbable form of magnesium that helps promote a sense of calm and relaxation, and supports sleep and bowel motility. Code MENO.
Probiotics- This dairy-free probiotic provides eight beneficial strains of microbes and 50 billion live probiotics per serving, promoting better digestion, reducing gas and bloating and optimal gut health. Code MENO.
Intestinal Cleanse- Help move the bowels with this natural, gentle, and effective intestinal cleanse protocol utilizing functional medicine ingredients and ayurvedic ingredients to draw water into the colon and lower gastrointestinal tract, softening and flushing stools, and cleansing out the intestines. Combined with an effective binder designed to bind to unwanted compounds for safe removal via the GI tract. Code MENO.
Coffee enemas- Coffee or water enemas can be useful tools if you feel backed up. A coffee solution or water can be inserted into the rectum to flush out the impacted stool. Coffee enemas can also support the liver; coffee and water enemas can help clear parasites out faster.
CellCore LymphActiv - Proper lymphatic movement is essential for establishing optimal drainage. LymphActiv includes eight powerful herbs to create the lymphatic motion needed to support drainage. Patient Direct Code: nyhz1bcx
CellCore BioToxin Binder - BioToxin’s binding ability comes from microporosity that provides surface area unheard of with old, spent carbon binders. Targeted for specific biotoxins especially parasites. Formulated with Carbon Technology that protects the ingredients from being digested by stomach acid, so that they remain intact as they enter the desired location in the body. Preparing your mind
Starting a parasite cleanse can feel scary and cause a lot of anxiety…it is that “unknown” feeling that sucks - what will come out, IF you will see something, do they come out alive?! (NO)…
I get it, I felt the same way when I started, but after the first week, my mindset shifted. I became extremely curious to see what was coming out and wanted to remove these things asap. Once I saw it, it became holy-shit real, and I shifted into action (big time!)
To help prepare mentally, please understand that everyone has parasites. My husband started the parasite cleanse before me, expelling tons of parasites. Even though I knew I had parasites, I was in shock and disbelief once I started and saw them. My husband asked me why I was so shocked. Seeing them is a whole new thing. So I totally understand the anxiety this cleanse can bring.
If you have parasites (we all do), then the likelihood that your significant other has them is pretty high. (I’m trying to be delicate here, knowing this is difficult to comprehend. I fought believing this myself. But if you have them, your significant other has them too.
Try not to obsess and take deep breaths. Incorporate breathing exercises into your routine. Whenever you start to feel anxious, sit down, close your eyes and do some breathing exercises. Inhale … and exhale. Have your exhale be longer than your inhale. Relax your shoulders. With every exhale, FEEL the anxiety gently leave your body. This will calm the anxiety and help you get back into a relaxation mode. Also remember that you are DOING something to help you and your health. Today you are one step closer to removing these unwanted jerks. My daily mantra that helped me get through the cleanse was: “Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.” Emile Coue
Whether you're dealing with chronic illness or want to enhance your health, a parasite cleanse can be a great place to start after you work on drainage and detoxification. More than you can imagine, addressing parasites can significantly affect your health!
