I know it felt like forever. But you did it! You've completed a parasite cleanse. Awesome and congratulations, especially if this was your first one! Whether you just finished Para 1 and Para 2 for the Gut Cleanse, or if you took it a step further and made it to Para 3 for the Systemic Cleanse, you've taken an essential step towards improving your health.
Think about all the energy those worms were stealing from your body keeping them alive! They were stealing your resources! No wonder you felt the way you did.
Now that you’ve significantly lessened your parasite load and those unwanted guests are out of your body, I know you want to keep it that way. After my first parasite cleanse, I became vigilant about not exposing myself to parasites. I worked hard cleansing my body and I wanted to keep it that way.
While we will always be exposed to parasites, and will always HAVE parasites, there are ways to keep the parasitic load in your body low and maintain good health. It’s important to put your body and it’s ability to respond to pathogens in a strong and proactive position. It’s really about voltage (more on this another time) and the balance of good to bad bacteria/parasites in your body. You want the balance to be in favor of good, and to create an environment that doesn’t let it tilt back towards the bad.
Today I'll review some tips on what to do after parasite cleansing to maintain. Let’s jump in!
To help kill the parasites before we ingest them, I highly recommend this very affordable device by Therasage that uses ozone to sanitize and disinfect foods from unhealthy foreign bacteria, viruses and parasites. This device gave me great peace of mind.

Diet after a Parasite Cleanse
There are two ways to approach the diet you adopt after parasite cleansing. There are:
First, let’s look at the foods that commonly contain parasites that would be best avoided to stop adding to your parasite load:
- Pork- Pork is notorious for containing parasites. If you are going to eat pork, freeze it for 20 days to ensure that all pathogens are killed before you consume it.
- Fish- Fish such as cod, swordfish, herring, trout, and salmon are more likely to contain parasites. These should either be frozen for 5 days or cooked to a temperature of at least 145°F for 15 seconds. Also, avoid eating raw fish that hasn’t been first frozen.
- Salads and raw produce- If the container says “washed”, I still recommend washing it. Use caution at salad bars since many people have handled the food. Salads from restaurants are fine if you are confident in their food preparation practices.
- Processed food, grains and sugar- Sugar is the primary energy source for parasites. If this energy source is removed, they can’t reproduce. I don’t mean all sugar is bad. Not at all. I am referring to PROCESSED sugar. Natural sugars offer many positive benefits to our bodies and are okay to incorporate.
Sugar also lurks in many other commonly consumed foods:
- Applesauce
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Coleslaw
- Dried fruits
- Flavored coffees and bottled teas
- Granola bars
- Jams
- Jerky and other processed meats
- Non-dairy milk
- Nut butter and other sandwich spreads
- Condiments like ketchup, BBQ, teriyaki, honey mustard, sweet and sour sauce and salad dressings
By ditching the sugar, you’re creating a better environment in your body that doesn’t give them an unlimited supply of food, and they will reproduce and grow more slowly.
Over time, your tastebuds will no longer crave processed sugar and you’ll prefer whole foods, healthy fats and protein. Parasites can drive sugar cravings, so try to stick with healthy food choices as often as possible. Remember, YOU’RE the boss, not those jerks!
Now let’s talk about what foods you should ADD during and after a parasite cleanse:
Here are some foods that parasites hate! So incorporating them can’t hurt :) I blend many of these in my morning smoothie.
- Pumpkin seeds
- Papaya seeds
- Pomegranate seeds
- Beets
- Carrots
- Berries
- Apple cider vinegar
- Olive oil
- Garlic- crush one clove of garlic (not cut), and let it sit for 10 minutes. Swallow it whole. Allicin, a sulphur compound produced in garlic, has antiparasitic properties. You can do this whenever you’d like as it’s really beneficial for your immune system.
When to Do Another Parasite Cleanse
Since we will continuously be exposed to parasites through food, water, diet, pets and more, it is recommended to do a parasite cleanse yearly. You can also consider completing a full-moon cleanse monthly. CellCore’s Para Kit. If you’ve already done your cleanse, you should already have an account, but if not…here is the code again to be able to order nyhz1bcx.
What to do if you're still experiencing symptoms after a parasite cleanse
If you have incorporated grains, more fruit, and dairy into your diet after a parasite cleanse and experience symptoms, you may have one or more food sensitivities.
You can try an elimination diet for a period of time to nail down the culprit or consider food sensitivity testing. The following assessments can help determine your root causes. Click here.
Next Steps
Remember, when parasites die, they release what was living inside them. This can be yeast, chronic infections, mold, heavy metals, you name it. So while you’ve gotten rid of the parasites, you’ve now taken away the cozy hiding place of these other root causes. It’s now time to find what WHAT your body needs next.
At this point, I always suggest the Big 5 Lab bundle to my clients to identify their imbalances and help us determine their next step.
In most cases, we find yeast and bacterial overgrowth.
Suppose you still have symptoms and assessments and labs suggest yeast or bacterial overgrowth. In that case, the next best step is to consider a comprehensive protocol designed specifically for yeast or bacterial overgrowth, like the CBO Protocol from EquiLife.
The CBO Protocol, or Candida and Bacterial Optimizer is a three-month protocol to rebalance the gut and slowly reintroduce beneficial microbes. This comprehensive protocol is designed to alter the state of your microbiome by removing unwanted microbes and then slowly reintroducing beneficial probiotic strains. Code MENO for a discount.
I know I went through a lot today, and refer back to this as much as you need to! Following these tips after your parasite cleanse can support your body for years. Taking care of your health is a continuous process; small habits can go a long way. Keep up the great work!
